Behaviour Analyst Supervisor
Job purpose: The Behaviour Analyst Supervisor will provide supervision to therapists working at the FACES after-school program, which could include Board Certified assistant Behaviour Analysts and/or Registered Behaviour Technicians, assess new or old clients using evidence-based assessments tools, such as VB-MAPP/ABLLS, design instructional programs for the clients, train therapists on teaching methodologies, monitor the clients’ progress, and design behavior intervention plans after completing necessary assessments as needed, including direct and indirect assessments, such as FBA, MAS, FAST.. The Behaviour Analyst Supervisor will write assessment reports, progress reports on a predetermined time frame, for instance, quarterly basis. In addition, the Behaviour Analyst Supervisor will work with families on family training goals and behaviour intervention plans, to ensure carryover of teaching methodologies across different settings. The role of the Behaviour Analyst Supervisor will require physical movement. The candidate ought to be ready and flexible to move at different paces and maintain neutral facial and body language in different situations.
Report to: The Behaviour Analyst Supervisor will report directly to the designees of the FACES, Inc Committee.
Job responsibilities:

Function in a supervisory capacity and provide oversight to all areas of programming including the training of direct support professionals, at the FACES school

Assist in the development and implementation of assessment tools, to conduct functional assessments and analyses when appropriate, and to develop appropriate behavior strategies to teach appropriate behavior and reduce maladaptive behaviours.

Provide ongoing support and training to directly support professionals, ABA therapists, and other individuals in support roles for families.

Ongoing training and supervision of paraprofessional staff in implementation of ABA principles and methodology and behavior reduction strategies to meet their certification and licensure requirements

Create an ongoing data collection system to establish baseline and program efficacy for all clients and their families on their specified goals, and to analyse data on a frequent and ongoing basis to guide programming.

Develop behavior plans/treatment plans for all clients with a focus on teaching appropriate alternative behaviours and reducing target inappropriate behaviours

Meet as needed with supervised staff to discuss ongoing updates regarding clients programming, behavior plans, family training goals, and to provide support when necessary.

Review and sign off on behavior plan/treatment plan training for all field staff and provide field supervision when necessary.

Provide consultation services and maintain ongoing communication with all constituents (other supports, parents, community, and community agencies).

Assist in the development, facilitation, and follow-up training for families of clients

Facilitate and assist in the development and identification of resources and support information for clients and their families

Maintain all data, paperwork, and communication between personal care staff and families in a safe secure space in the building, and to provide ongoing feedback to government related agencies that contract with such families.

Perform other duties as assigned related to the implementation of the ABA methodologies in teaching

Minimum requirements:

Master degree in Special education/psychology or other related field.

Board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) or Qualified Behavior Analyst (QBA) for at least 1 year

English Language proficiency, written and spoken

Minimum of 3 year experience working with children with ASD or other developmental disabilities

Special Education Specialist or ABA Therapist
Job purpose: The ABA therapist will work directly under the supervision of the Behaviour Analyst Supervisor, who holds certification or licensure in behavior analysis. The ABA therapist will be in charge of preparing materials for the intervention sessions, delivering instruction, collecting data during intervention sessions, and working directly with the supervisor and other therapists in the after-school program. The therapist will also work directly with the supervisor to monitor clients’ instructional programming. The role of the ABA therapist will require physical movement. The candidate ought to be ready and flexible to move at different paces and maintain neutral facial and body language in different situations.
Report to: Behaviour Analyst Supervisor
Job responsibilities:
● Implements various teaching techniques based on the principles of ABA as designed by the behavior analyst supervisor to work with the clients towards meeting their instructional goals.
● Assesses clients progress and determines the need for additional reinforcement or adjustments to instructional techniques.
● Collects data during intervention and assessment sessions and input the data on paper or on a software, if using a software
● Monitors the visual analysis for each instructional objective on a daily basis and work with the behavior analyst supervisor to make any changes after the following the decision protocol (this is specific to therapists who will be trained on the decision protocol)
● Creates a positive learning experience with emphasis in individualized instruction using appropriate sources, including technology.
● Conduct ongoing preference assessments during the sessions to determine reinforcers to be used
● Graph the data collected during intervention and assessment sessions
● Manage student behavior and administer behavior intervention plans. This includes intervening in crisis situations and following the safety protocols by the program
● Attend team meetings and works cooperatively with the clients’ team in and outside of the program, if applicable
● Collaborates and consults with multidisciplinary team and service providers regarding the needs of clients.
● Discusses and consults with your supervisor regarding classroom adaptations, instructional modifications, adaptive equipment, behavior modification plans and other similar instructional interventions to meet the needs of clients.
● Maintain professional and positive relationships with the families of all clients
● Attend professional development and trainings in the program
● Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect clients, equipment, materials, facilities. In addition to provide/supervise personal care, medical care, as needed.
● Complies with the program’s policies and all the rules and regulations, includes maintaining confidentiality.
Minimum requirements:
● Bachelor degree in Special education (ASD or ID)
● RBT 40-Hour Training completed or Board Certified assistant Behavior Analyst
● English Language
● Minimum of 1 year experience working with children with ASD or other developmental disabilities
